Maximum Security
Cañon City, Colorado is home to many of Colorado's prisoner community (behind bars, of course). We visit the Prison Museum, a morbid little place nestled in the shadow of the barbed wire atop the wall surrounding the Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility. Is James Holmes here in Cañon City? He was given 12 life sentences without parole. We ask the guard. He is vague about his answer. He says that's a secret. Colorado has tried numerous times to trade Mr. Holmes with other states but no one else wants him either.
