"Kansas is placed squarely in the center of America's wind tunnel," sez wiki. We've battled a strong wind from the South all day. This place needs windmills and we see them all over. Kansas has led the nation in this area of growth. We pass the Spearville Kansas Windmill farm where windmills disappear over the horizon. We count only one not turning... probably down for maintenance.

Paula muses about where these are made and how are they set up. We get an answer to the first question down the road in Garden City, Kansas where we pass so many brand new windmills lying in the stockyard that it seems enough to fulfill Kansas' potential for over 950 gigawatts! We pass monster trucks hauling "wide loads" coming from this huge plant.
