We discover that there are boat tours of Crater Lake that are run by the National Park Service. Of course we sign up for this unique perspective. It involves a strenuous hike from the rim to the shore - something that can only be done in one place at the North Entrance. The trip is worth it. Our interpretive ranger rides along.
